Hey, World Changers!

The Usher Group Gold Coast office is powering through their first challenge on the Fund My Challenge app, the team challenging businesses around the country to schedule a 15-minute, business walk into their daily schedule.

Each day for the past two weeks, Usher employees, including head office and those out on site, have been setting off on a walk, and in some instances a slow jog, around the block.

In addition to the mental and physical benefits associated with the circuit breaker exercise, the team have been raising funds for Dementia Australia through the Global Awakening Fund.

With the challenge far from over, Fund My Challenge Chief Executive Officer and Usher Group founder, Theodore Vairaktaris, is challenging businesses across the Gold Coast and Australia to join the challenge and support health and wellness in the workplace.

“Walk around the block with all your employees and help to create an amazing environment and culture by promoting wellness in your workplace!” Theodore said.

“We’re doing this for the Global Awakening Fund, who are making a huge difference out there in the community and improving the lives of those who need it most.”

The Global Awakening Fund is the vehicle that drives Fund My Challenge, created to be one of the most robust, vetted and honest charity platforms on the planet.

Fund My Challenge Chief Operations Officer Dan Carruthers saying the Global Awakening Fund’s biggest advantage over others in the charity space is that it’s not hampered by red-tape or outdated rules, regulations and constitutions.

“The Global Awakening Fund means we are able to provide instant relief, support or assistance to those who need it most.

“From making structural changes to the home of someone who finds themselves in a wheelchair, through to a family whose home has been lost in a flood or fire, – we’re not bound by a genre or a specific cause,” said Carruthers.

“The Global Awakening helps those who need it today, not tomorrow.”

Through the Global Awakening, the funds raised will be distributed to Dementia Australia, a cause close to Usher Group founder, Theodore Vairaktaris’, heart.

Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia but remains one of the most challenging and misunderstood conditions.

Dementia Australia exists to support and empower the estimated half a million Australians living with dementia and almost 1.6 million people involved in their care.

Get on board and support Usher Group sweating it out, and make a difference for people with dementia by joining the challenge and donating on the Fund My Challenge app now!
